Let It Begin Here...

"Let It Begin Here" is a magnificent and captivating film capturing the fight and spirit of Americans during our revolution. Watching it, we sense the pride in how a great nation was formed; the sacrifice that was bestowed by men and women at this era in our history. The motion picture can be seen when guests tour the Boston Tea Party Ship and Museum, located at the Congress Street Bridge.

As you climb aboard a replica of the tea-ship Beaver you cannot but take notice at the smallness of the ship. Note: one must contemplate how men survived on these ships when you imagine the huge ocean liners of today. But prospered they did, and walking through this grand museum you acquire a feeling of the political air and lifestyle proceeding the war for independence. For example, witness two women with different outlooks speaking of their political philosophies that filled the colonial air. Hear Samuel Adams and meet King George as they talk of the now famous Boston Tea Party. Finally, view one of only two original tea chests known to have survived the night of December 16, 1773.

Go to the Congress Street Bridge, located just off from the Freedom Trail and venture into history. Your first act of treason is going to be to throw an English tea chest into the harbor. Then come inside and see first hand the museum, Yankee Magazine calls the "Best New Museum" in New England. End your tour by talking with fellow patriots at the Abigail Tea Room, located directly above the museum.
