St. John School Celebrates Annual 'Spooktacular' Halloween Party & Trick or Treating

Ghosts, bats, pumpkins and zombies, oh my! It’s that time of year again when ghosts and goblins appear to take over the North End and that is exactly what happened at the United States Coast Guard Base. The base hosted two Halloween celebrations for the kids of St. John School.

October 22nd, the base was filled with dozens and dozens of children and their families for our annual ‘Spooktacular’ Halloween Party. Ghosts, goblins, vampires, superheroes, Red Sox players and of course, witches and princesses were excited to be celebrating a freakishly good time with their friends. The party featured an evening of family fun and games including a zombie dance off, pumpkin decorating, Halloween arts & crafts, games, pizza, prizes and of course, a lot of candy.

On October 31st, The Coast Guard Base was once again into the Halloween Spirit! They invited all the ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses and rock stars from St. John School’s 1st and 2nd Grade classes to kick of the Halloween holiday with some daylight trick or treating. The children were invited to stroll through the base enjoying receiving lots of candy and homemade treats. No tricks, but great treats were given out to all the kids (and maybe a chaperone or two).

The kids would like to sincerely thank all the members of the United States Coast Guard Base for hosting both events and giving them such great treats. We hope you enjoyed both Halloween festivities as much as we did.

We would also like to thank all of the families and volunteers who made our annual party and trick or treating such fun. Check out our photos to see the kids decked out in their ghoulishly best costumes and the good time we had!
