Police: Person Stabbed on Long Wharf

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions. 

Boston Police responded to a report of a person stabbed near 66 Long Wharf at about 11:43 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23.

EMS told police that a victim with a stab wound to the abdomen was being transported to Mass General Hospital. Officers set up a crime scene, and detectives collected evidence until 12:36 a.m. on July 24.

Officers spoke with witnesses, who told them that a group of kids were yelling. At this same time, a man on a bicycle was chasing after two men towards Atlantic Avenue.

The group of kids stayed by the victim until the ambulance arrived. They did not see the stabbing occur.

Witnesses told police that they saw a man fighting with two others at the end of Long Wharf. The suspects were described as two white males between the age of 17 and 21 wearing white shirts and Dickie-style shorts. One of the men was holding a black switchblade. At this point, the witness ran towards the fire station to call for help.

The man on the bicycle tried to chase after the two suspects, but lost them at the State Street T stop.
