It wasn't a pretty sight.
On Monday, at about 6:20 p.m., police caught a man around 90 Canal Street who was making a nuisance and spectacle of himself.
According to the Boston Police Department blog, officers arrested Bill Ellery, 33, of Boston and charged him with disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.
Officers assigned to the Area A Neighborhood Drug Control Unit were on patrol when they saw a white male staggering while walking, leading them to believe he was drunk.
According to the blog, the officers saw Ellery urinate in plain view of others, kick over a newspaper stand and verbally berate and assault another man.
Ellery rasied his fists and took a "fighting posture" when the officers approached him and identified themsevles.
