Frost Advisory in Effect for Friday Night

Bring in your plants as the cold temperatures could kill sensitive vegetation.

All the beautiful flower pots and herb gardens on window sills in the North End need your attention before tonight.

It's time to bring all plants into the house to protect them from the cooler temperatures.

The National Weather Service expects some frosty weather tonight and into Saturday morning for the Boston area.

The freeze watch is set late Friday night into Saturday morning. Temperatures are expected to be around 30 degrees.

"Areas of frost and near freezing temperatures may kill sensitive vegetation," according to the advisory.

The frost could mean the end of the growing season, the statement added.
